Do you offer appointments after 5pm or at the weekends?
Of course, we offer home design appointments up until 8pm weekdays. We’re also happy to visit you on Saturday or Sunday if that’s more convenient.
What will my shutters look like?
Don’t worry, our team can talk you through all the options with images and actual shutter panel samples.
What if I already have blinds or curtains at my window?
That’s not a problem, we can leave these or remove them upon installation.
How long does the appointment take?
That depends on the number of windows you have. Average appointment times are around 1 hour but this will vary depending upon the type and number windows you have and whether you require a full measurement survey, or just price estimate.
Is it really a no cost or obligation appointment?
Yes, it absolutely is!
Do I have to pay for a consultation?
Never, with South Beach Shutters, you’ll only pay if you order.
How long will my shutters take?
Following the confirmation of your order, and deposit payment, your bespoke shutters will take approximately 8-10 weeks. Our team will contact you near the time to book in your installation.
Can you build my shutters any quicker?
We can manufacture some of our options in 4-5 weeks, but there is an additional rush charge.
Will the costs change at all after I place my shutter order?
No, the price you agree, is the price you pay.
Can I match the colour of my shutters to my walls?
Yes, we offer a bespoke colour matching service for a small additional fee.
What happens if I damage a slat?
Don’t worry, we provide a couple of spare slats with every order and can fit them quickly and easily should a slat be damaged by a flying dog toy!
What’s the difference between South Beach Shutters and any other shutter company?
At South Beach Shutters, we only use quality hardwoods for our frames and panels and never use MDF. Whilst often cheaper, MDF is a poor quality product that won’t stand the test of time in your home. We offer an entry level hardwood shutter that is a comparable price to other MDF suppliers so there’s no need to compromise on quality for cost’s sake.
Will plantation shutters make my rooms dark?
No, our quality satin paint finish reflects light beautifully into your room. Also, the slats can be pivoted and angled to bounce optimum light into the room depending on the angle and position of the sun, often bring more light further into the room than would otherwise be possible.
How long are my shutters guaranteed for?
We offer a full lifetime guarantee on your shutters for any fault or failure.
Where are your plantation shutters made?
Our plantation shutters are made in a dedicated facility in China. Whilst we’d love to manufacture in the UK, it is unfortunately not possible. That being said, we still uphold the highest standards of quality control on our bespoke shutters.
How does payment work, do I have to pay 100% up front?
No, we ask for a deposit on order of 65% of your order value, the remaining 35% is due on installation.
Do you take credit cards?
Absolutely, although there is a small processing fee.
Can I get an idea of cost before my consultation?
Sure, just email or call us with your measurements and we’ll provide you with an estimate based on your figures. If you’d like to go ahead, we would need to visit you to ensure a full measurement survey is taken to ensure bespoke fitting to your windows.
